    This one has been modified to include a digital dial, 4 watt-low noise audio amp, and well filtered - regulated power supply for the solid state devices.

  • DRAKE T4X TRANSMITTER
  • t4x.jpgGenerally accepted as the companion transmitter to the R4A. The T4X provides coverage of all bands (even WARC) will work all modes (except FM) and delivers an output of about 100 watts, more on the lower HF bands. It is not quite as good as the B or the C version but it does not fall short by much.

    This one has crystals for 15 and 10 meters only.  Other bands can be covered by injection from the R4A or crystals can be added for 80, 40, and 20 meters.

    Capacitor Restoration Kit

    Collectable radios are worth more if they work.  If you are not a collector, a broken radio is close to worthless.

    In most cases all that is required to electronically restore a radio is capacitor replacement.  Replacement parts are readily available from several distributors but they may have minimum order requirements and you may not find all the parts at one distributor.

    This Capacitor Restoration Kit includes all the parts needed for the typical All American 5-tube AC/DC AM radio.  Contents as follows.

    2 - .015mfd
    1 - .33mfd

    12 inches bare buss wire
    12 inches teflon sleeving

    1 - terminal strip (for floating ground connection)
